Jack and Jill
Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.
Up Jack got and home did trot,
As fast as he could caper.
He went to bed to mend his head,
With vinegar and brown paper.
Then Jill came in with a playful grin,
To check on Jack's poor noggin.
She brought some tea and bandaged his knee,
And soon they both were talkin'.
The very next day, they went to play,
And climbed that hill together.
This time they laughed and held on tight,
No matter the stormy weather.
Now Jack and Jill both learned the skill,
Of helping one another.
Through ups and downs, they shared the crown,
As sister and as brother.
