Goldilocks and the Three Bears
Once upon a time, in a cozy little house deep in the woods, there lived a family of three bears: Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear. One morning, the bears decided to go for a walk while their porridge cooled on the table. They left their home unlocked, not expecting any visitors.
Meanwhile, a curious little girl named Goldilocks was wandering through the forest. She had golden hair and a knack for exploring places she shouldn’t. As she walked, she stumbled upon the bears’ house. Seeing no one around, she knocked on the door. When no one answered, she peeked inside and, finding it empty, decided to go in.
The first thing Goldilocks noticed was the three bowls of porridge on the table. Feeling hungry, she tried the porridge in the largest bowl. "Ouch! This porridge is too hot!" she exclaimed. Next, she tried the porridge in the middle-sized bowl. "This porridge is too cold," she said with a frown. Finally, she tried the porridge in the smallest bowl. "Ah, this porridge is just right!" she said happily, and she ate it all up.
After eating, Goldilocks wandered into the living room, where she saw three chairs: a large one for Papa Bear, a medium-sized one for Mama Bear, and a tiny one for Baby Bear. She sat in the largest chair first. "This chair is too hard!" she complained. Then she sat in the middle-sized chair. "This chair is too soft!" she said. Finally, she sat in the smallest chair. "This chair is just right!" she said, but as she leaned back, the chair broke into pieces.
Feeling a little tired, Goldilocks decided to explore upstairs. She found the bears’ bedroom, where there were three beds: a large one, a medium-sized one, and a tiny one. She climbed onto the largest bed first. "This bed is too hard!" she said. Then she tried the middle-sized bed. "This bed is too soft!" she complained. Finally, she lay down on the smallest bed. "This bed is just right!" she said with a smile, and she fell fast asleep.
While Goldilocks slept, the three bears returned home. As soon as they walked into the kitchen, Papa Bear growled, "Someone’s been eating my porridge!" Mama Bear noticed her bowl and said, "Someone’s been eating my porridge too!" Baby Bear looked at his empty bowl and cried, "Someone’s eaten all my porridge, and it’s all gone!"
In the living room, the bears discovered their chairs had been disturbed. Papa Bear said, "Someone’s been sitting in my chair!" Mama Bear said, "Someone’s been sitting in my chair too!" Baby Bear looked at his broken chair and wailed, "Someone’s been sitting in my chair, and they’ve broken it!"
Finally, the bears went upstairs to their bedroom. Papa Bear said, "Someone’s been sleeping in my bed!" Mama Bear said, "Someone’s been sleeping in my bed too!" Baby Bear looked at his bed and cried, "Someone’s been sleeping in my bed, and she’s still here!"
The noise woke Goldilocks, and she opened her eyes to see the three bears staring at her. Terrified, she jumped out of bed, ran down the stairs, and dashed out of the house as fast as she could. She ran all the way home and never returned to the bears’ house again.
The three bears never saw Goldilocks again, but they learned an important lesson: always lock your door, even if you live deep in the woods!
