The Golden Rooster
Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived an old couple. They were poor but kind-hearted and always helped others whenever they could. Despite their kindness, they had no children and lived in a simple, modest home. One day, the old woman was walking through the forest when she came across a beautiful golden rooster trapped in a net.
The rooster had shiny golden feathers that sparkled in the sunlight. It looked up at her with sad eyes, as it struggled to free itself. The old woman, seeing how helpless the rooster was, quickly freed it from the net. The golden rooster chirped gratefully and fluttered its wings.
"Thank you, kind lady," said the rooster, "for saving my life. I am a magical rooster, and as a token of my gratitude, I will grant you one wish. Ask for anything you desire."
The old woman was surprised but thought for a moment. She wished, "I would like to have a child, for I have always longed for one to care for in my old age."
The golden rooster nodded and said, "Your wish will be granted." With that, it flew into the sky, disappearing among the clouds.
The old woman returned home to her husband and told him about the magical rooster and the wish she had made. The very next morning, to their amazement, a baby girl was born to them—something they had never thought would happen. The child was as beautiful as a flower, and the old couple was overjoyed.
Years passed, and the girl grew up to be strong and kind. One day, the girl decided to take a walk in the forest. She wandered deep into the woods and soon came across a strange old man who asked for her help. He was hungry and tired, so the girl shared her food and water with him. The old man smiled and revealed his true identity—he was the golden rooster in disguise!
"You are a kind and generous soul, just like your parents," said the golden rooster. "Because of your kindness, I will give you a special gift. You will have good fortune and happiness for the rest of your life."
From that day forward, the family lived in prosperity. They had enough food, warmth, and love, and the girl became known far and wide for her kindness and beauty. She never forgot the golden rooster and always helped others in need, just as her family had always done.
